" My Dream Holiday Outta This World !
"Brring …...’ screamed the alarm. I tried to ignore it . I wanted to stay in my dream. My dream ‘Outta This World Holiday’.As we were anxiously waiting for 9 Years , it finally arrived . As we hoped off we were all surprise to see NOTHING ! “HELLO ! we all shouted . All we heard was our echo's . We were really cold it was probably - 0.
We were surrounded by Nothing . No trees , Plants , House , it was nothing compare to back home . We had second thoughts about coming to this planet for a dream holiday . So then we searched around for a good spot for us to set things up . During our time at pluto we did nothing but walked around it was so cold I couldn't feel my toes then something wierd happened it turned black, I was trying to found my friends but I couldn't find them .
After a while I suddenly woked up not knowing I was still in bed " Dreaming Outta This World" I was trying my best to memorise my dream holiday to pluto but ive got to admit it was the best dream ever .
Thanks to Racheal .

My opinion about Term1
Looking back Last term isn’t the term I was pleased with myself because
I didn’t get work done on time, and my attitude weren't good .
Highlights I liked last term was our camp “Take Charge “ the best highlight I worked best with was getting to know new people and hanging around with my groups the most. Last term I worked best was doing the right thing and respecting my teacher Mr Harris and other student in my class ! . My worse improvement last term was not focusing well and getting into trouble.
Looking forward This Term I’m looking forward to play our first game of rugby
also taking our Net books home and getting to use it everyday and to try our new sports !! .

Invention of Flags
Did you know that in 4,000 years ago flags were made out of metal, wood and clothing . The first people ever who invented flags were the Roman people. Many flags back then wasn’t.
Railway Flags can tell you when to stop obviously and when you can go. for example there are 6 colour which all has a different meaning . The first flag was made wood in the past some flags were heavy and , difficult to carry around , but now it has gone a lot lighter and a lot easier to carry .

My Thoughts About Camp!
Finally, it was the week of our Year 7 and 8 Camp, which was called ‘Camp Take Charge’ which is going to be great. I'm really looking forward to all of the activity that we are going to play. Yesterday afternoon the students got put in their groups, my group was called the ‘Respectablez’ and my team leaders are Shontal and Feki , who are pretty awesome . After that part of the session it was time to do a chant which was freaky because we had no ideas for it. Then we started to ask each one of us for ideas, suddenly Athena had an awesome idea which was amazing!
During our time at the hall Mr Barks, told us a quick game which sound pretty confusing but fun at the same time because we had to use equipment and chairs, we had to try going to to the the side of the hall without touching the floor, so I guess we had to use the chairs and the equipment to get to the other side. As we start the game we were all in a rush grabbing our friends and moving quickly. It was quite a confusing game, our team just made it half way which was cool. As the time went by we all had so fun .
As we were at the hall, we had some reminders about what we had to bring on the Monday,
the most thing I was really looking forward to was the concert because I like watching all the performances.

Finally the day has come !!

Finally on Tuesday at 2:00 in the afternoon our Year Seven students got to have our very own netbooks, how cool is that!! We were so happy and delighted because we were the first Year Seven's (in our Tamaki Cluster) to trial our new netbooks. I think we are one of the luckiest schools in the Tamaki cluster trialing out our new netbooks, as part of the trial, we had to take a photo of ourselves and put it on our blog.
I would like to say a huge thanks to our very generous donors who generously gave us some money to go towards buying our first 100 netbooks.

Our year7 girls rugby game against Viscount....
Last week our year7 girls had their rugby game against Viscount . On that day we had to run around the field 3 or 2 times . I felt really nervous about the game because they were big and tall but I knew this would be a good game . When we had to get changed we first had to do a game plan for our game . After that we had to practise where our positions were and when do we come in to do a scrum .
When the game was going to start my legs were full of goes bumps . As we all run up to line getting ready to
kick off the whistle went brinnnnng ! when we kicked off “ Leni tackled the first runner . when we were playing I notice that my shorts were falling off Aaarh as I pull my shorts up getting ready to tackle .
My best part about the game was that we played really well and that people got to have a run !! .
but then some of our girls got tackled badly which was “ Sela . When it went to half time I got advice from this man , the weird part about it was that his advice actually worked so then I kept on doing it .
As we go back on the field I had my own plan which was to trick one of the players .
This last half was pretty funny because both teams were passing the ball everywhere and there were people slipping on mud’s . I think this should be my best game ever playing against Viscount even though we lost but we still hadeach others backs .
I would we like to say thank you very much to my couch " Bobbi and helpers !!
YOU GUYS ROCK !! ,,,,,,,

Volcano Report
How does a volcano erupt ?
What is the biggest volcano in Auckland ?
Underneath the earths crust the pressure of the magma builds up. It then is forced up and it makes a vent in the earths surface. After it has erupted the lava then dries up and forms a mountain .
About volcanoes .
Volcanoes are mountains that erupt. It is a vent in the earths crust through which magma and gasses erupt. The word volcano comes from the god of fire, Vulcan. Volcanoes are all over the world. Most volcanoes are on the edge of the tectonic plates .
3 different typ of volcanoes
The shield volcano got its name because people thought it looked like the shape of an ancient warriors shield. The shield volcano is low in silica. They are shallow sided and have a flat bottomed crater. It has a long fluid lava flow which can also flow into sea. Shield volcanoes can also be found on the ocean crust.
The stratovolcanoes are the most famous volcanoes. Mount St. Helens, Mt Vesuvius and Mt Fuji are all stratovolcanoes. When they start to erupt it begins with an explosion of ash and cinders. These volcanoes are often found on subduction zones.
Cinder cone volcanoes are the smallest volcanoes.
These volcanoes are formed by low silica magma that is runny. They are steep sided volcanoes that are cone shaped.
What is the biggest volcano in Auckland ?
The biggest volcano in Auckland is Rangitoto . Rangitoto is one of the youngest volcanoes
but this volcano has the most violent eruption when it occured it last eupted 600 years ago to 800 years . Rangitoto was named after a woman whose name is Te RangiTotongia
that's how it was named Rangitoto .
ACESS NEW UNIFORM
ACESS !!
Don't we look GREAT in our new uniform.
As our Aces team heads along to the courts , first we had to take a team photo . After that we all got sorted then headed off to the netball courts . When we arrived we went for a jog around the the courts then had to do 4 side steps to the line then come back . My position was CENTER then I will have to change to WA in the next half then it was time to play so we stretched first and drank water.
As our game was about to start it was our ball first ! The ball come down to our shooters our team got the first point . Then the game became harder because the other team had more point so then our team went hard on them so then we were in the lead it was nearly half time so we threw the ball back to the shooter then had the last goal !!
My position was CENTER I was so happy because center is a good exciting position for me because I can run around and get the ball straight to the goal . The game was nearly over and our team were winning !
